Why Do I Need Project Drawings?
All building projects should have detailed drawings to illustrate what is being undertaken. These should be to scale and well annotated to ensure everyone works to the same design.
The position of electrical points can be shown, where structural beams are being inserted, the type of building materials to use, drainage routes etc – these all can be better illustrated to help ensure what is being completed meets the Client’s design.
What Is The Difference Between Planning & Building Regulation Approval?
Planning permission covers the principles of development assessing whether the development will accord with local and national policies and whether it would cause unacceptable harm, for example, to neighbours’ amenities, whereas the Building Regulations cover the structural aspects of development and progress throughout the construction.
Why Instruct PA Surveyors?
PA Surveyors have experience and competence in preparing architectural drawings – existing and proposed floor plans, elevations and sections are professionally prepared to illustrate different schemes and the overall project.
Our Chartered Building Surveying knowledge is also brought to the table to ensure the design not only looks great, but works and the choice of materials and techniques are suitable.
We can prepare the necessary documentation and drawings to obtain Planning and Building Regulation Approval. When making an application, it is important to make sure that a fully completed set of details are submitted. We have the knowledge and understanding of the regulations to successfully gain Approval, whilst still obtaining the Client’s objectives.
PA Surveyors also have experience in dealing with altering Listed Buildings, to include preparing the necessary detailed drawings and Heritage Statements. Where possible, we will give guidance on the options available and likelihood of gaining Approval.
